About the Position: GBA Strategies, a progressive DC-based public opinion research firm, is seeking a talented intern for a paid internship starting in May. This is a great opportunity to learn about public opinion research from a team of experts with decades of experience in the field. Responsibilities include: Conducting background research on issues, candidates, and districts; Proofreading and copy editing of documents such as questionnaires, memos, and presentations; Ensuring quality control of the research process, including survey design testing and live research monitoring. Minimum of 25 hours/week in our downtown DC office, mostly during the afternoon and evening hours.
Special Requirements/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a junior or senior in college, a graduate student, or a recent college graduate who is hardworking, interested in progressive politics, and comfortable with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). All candidates must demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Prior internships, political experience, a demonstrated interest in Democratic politics, and/or statistical backgrounds are preferred.
Estimated Salary: The intern is paid an hourly wage of $17, though college credit can be issued in lieu of, or in addition to, pay contingent on internship credit policies of the college in question.
