About the Organization: KidsArts! Multicultural After School and Summer Program offers structured arts classes and activities that enrich children’s lives through exposure to the world’s many cultures. KidsArts! is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). We offer after school, vacation, and summer programs for children grades K2-5th. We provide a safe, fun environment for children to explore their interests and talents. KidsArts! believes that families come in many different forms and we celebrate the diversity of our community. About the Position: Teachers Assistants are responsible for assisting with the teaching and coordination of activities for students in curriculum areas such as visual arts, music, dance, theater and games. The goal is to help children learn to think creatively, to solve problems independently, and to respect themselves and others. TA’s work closely with the teachers and site managers to supervise the students, and assist with the set up and breakdown of the space. During the summer TA’s may attend field trips if scheduled. 4.5 hours/day, 4 days/week.
Special Requirements/Qualifications: Previous experience working with children. Interest in visual art, theater, dance or music. Sense of humor. Ability to work as part of a small team. You are available between 1:30 and 6 pm. Specific days are Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri.
Estimated Salary: $13/hour, 18 hours/week.
