About the Organization: The EBC, a nonprofit organization, was established in 1990 by environmental and energy company executives who began meeting on a regular basis to exchange ideas and share experiences. The EBC was the first organization in the United States established to support and foster the development of the environmental industry. Our goal is to enhance business and job growth of both established and emerging environmental and energy businesses. About the Position: The Environmental Business Council of New England is seeking an Intern in our Brookline office to assist with day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks. Intern responsibilities primarily entail office and administrative work, including data entry, database maintenance, and website maintenance. He/she may also be responsible for various business or nonprofit management projects, and gain valuable exposure to the environmental industry through offsite EBC programs, as well as to nonprofit operations in general. Apart from the intern’s in-office duties, there are multiple programs and events that the intern will be expected to assist in managing. Interns are expected to commit 10-12 hours of in-office time for the Fall academic semester.

- Proactive, outgoing, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Excellent communication skills and a stellar work ethic.
- Current enrollment in a 4 year or community college; Undergraduate students, especially second and third year students, are encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to operate online databases.
- Exceptional organizational skills, careful attention to detail.
Estimated Salary: $12.50 hourly, 10-12 hours/week for the fall semester.
