About the Position: As a Business Opportunity Specialist you will review and process applications, recertifications, de-certifications, program exams, protest and withdrawals for the HUBZone program.

Special Requirements/Qualifications: GS-07: Bachelor’s degree and Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) – (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (2.95 or higher as recorded on an official transcript, or as based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum) or (3) honor society membership; OR
Successful completion of one full academic year of progressively higher level graduate education with coursework related to the position to be filled.
AND One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: assisting in the review of program applications for accuracy, completeness, conformance to established laws, regulations, procedures, rules and guidelines.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Estimated Salary: $45,972 to $73,105 + benefits
