About the Organization: Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) is a non-profit organization with a mission to align and equip leaders to use the power of business to prevent human trafficking. BEST is a young organization that builds the capacity of businesses to become socially responsible on the issue of human trafficking so that business employees can interrupt and prevent the exploitation of some of the most vulnerable people in society.

About the Position: BEST is recruiting for a full-time Program Assistant, who will provide administrative and operational support to our growing programs. The position will primarily support our new Safe Jobs program and Employer ACTS. Duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Event planning and support for training events
  • Research, including data collection and entry
  • Volunteer management
  • Scheduling and managing calendars
  • Collecting and entering data into a CRM and producing reports
  • Supporting and recording meetings between diverse constituencies
  • Communicating with stakeholders
  • Limited bookkeeping or other operations support

Special Requirements/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, self-initiating, and a strong written and verbal communicator.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in business or in the humanities
  • Ability to relate professionally and respectfully to a wide range of people, from trafficking survivors to law enforcement officers to CEOs
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to continue working in the organization for the long-term
  • Preferred Capacities and Skills: Experience with a CRM, such as Salesforce; Experience with Quickbooks

Estimated Salary: $33,000 – $43,000 + benefits
