About the Organization: Greenroads International is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation which advances sustainability education and initiatives for transportation infrastructure. As the developer of the Greenroads Rating System®, the Foundation manages the certification process for sustainable transportation development projects in the U.S. and internationally.
About the Position: Greenroads Foundation is seeking an entry-level Administrative Assistant interested in non-profit finance and accounting for an internal recordkeeping and bookkeeping project for a 10-12 week part-time internship (16-20 hours per week) beginning anytime after September 16, 2018 or later. As Administrative Assistant, you will be assigned to complete and deliver specific administrative activities that support the mission and vision of the organization and will help us keep our records compliant and organized and our finances airtight and afloat. The purpose of the internship project is to help our little nonprofit organization prepare for a routine financial audit by processing, organizing, and verifying expense reports, state tax records, and other administrative records. The Administrative Assistant will also prepare and track invoices, manage billing contact records in the accounting system, and provide general administrative support to staff and customers as needed. We are committed to providing creative and self-directed individuals with a variety of future opportunities for projects beyond their assigned tasks provided performance expectations are met.
Working Conditions: Open-plan desk in a collaborative space with lots of windows; Dog-friendly, with two resident canines for comic relief and exercise in nearby Marymoor Park; We are currently located on the 2nd floor of a building with no elevator and up a flight of 24 stairs. Special Requirements/Qualifications: You have an impeccable eye for detail. You want all the dollars and cents to add up perfectly, and for the paper trail to be complete and easy to find what you need. You are patient and a stickler for the rules.
