About the Position: The Data Analyst supports New Schools for Chicago/Kids First Chicago in developing, rolling out, monitoring and improving data systems and tools for the organization. These analytics will serve both as internal fact-checks around school performance, choice behavior, community data, and more, as well as providing a concrete foundation for addressing and shaping broader educational policy. The Data Analyst also provides critical analyses and thought partnership to better interpret and use data to identify macro and micro level policy improvements for broader organizational advocacy efforts. Together with NSC policy team, the Data Analyst will play an important role in developing and promoting a more data-driven culture across NSC.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in analytics, math, data management or computer science content
Statistics experience preferred
Strong Excel skills; experience with school data and SIS applications such as PowerSchool, Schoolzilla and Tableau preferred

Estimated Salary: $45,000 – $55,000 DOE + benefits
