About the Organization: Creative Capital supports innovative and adventurous artists across the country through funding, counsel and career development services. Our pioneering venture philanthropy approach helps artists working in all creative disciplines realize their visions and build sustainable practices. Since 2015, Creative Capital has been participating in ongoing anti-oppression training to examine systemic issues that perpetuate inequality and block inclusion. Internships are open to current college seniors, graduate students, recent graduates or individuals interested in transitioning to arts administrative work.

Artist Initiatives

About the Position: The Artist Initiatives intern will help with a range of responsibilities, receiving an immersive work experience and gaining exposure to many professional activities under the mentorship of Creative Capital staff. During the internship period, Creative Capital will be in the process of selecting our next group of awardees and planning for our artist retreat. The intern will assist these projects by supporting application management, planning for the retreat, and communications with readers and consultants. Additionally, interns will be invited to participate in the planning and development of several program initiatives, including our Spanish Language Taller program, local and national career development workshops, implementation of strategic visioning, and ongoing Advisory Service programs. Creative Capital will supplement its program with outings to meet with colleagues in the field.

Applicants should have:

  • Excellent information management and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Attention to detail, adaptability to change and ability to manage several different projects day to day
  • Creative, collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in contemporary artistic practice
  • Interest in work on equity-building for underrepresented communities
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
Communications

About the Position: The Communications intern will help with a range of responsibilities, receiving an immersive work experience and gaining exposure to many professional activities under the mentorship of Creative Capital staff. During the internship period, Creative Capital will be in the process of updating its website, branding, and digital communications. The intern will assist these projects by supporting website and social media content. Additionally, interns will be invited to participate in the planning and development of several communications and outreach initiatives. Creative Capital will supplement its program with outings to meet with colleagues in the field.

Applicants should have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, adaptability to change and ability to manage several different projects day to day
  • Creative, collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Interest in work on equity-building for underrepresented communities
  • Strong interest in contemporary arts

 

Estimated Salary: $15 per hour
