About the Organization: Compete 360 is a small and innovative 501(c)3 organization that fosters a design thinking (DT) practice in city schools by providing K-12 teachers with the training, curricula, resources, and support to facilitate projects addressing problems identified by the students. Projects culminate with the Design Thinking Philadelphia Showcase where student work is celebrated and reviewed by design and business professionals.
About the Position: Perfect opportunity for an intelligent and motivated individual to help organize and execute a fundraising event for an educational non-profit serving Philadelphia youth and to assist with school-year programming. Responsibilities will include communicating with sponsors, vendors, and volunteers, handling event logistics, helping develop materials, assisting with curriculum development and implementation, and supporting organization operations.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
- Well rounded with a positive attitude, excellent written and oral communication skills, great interpersonal skills, and strong research and problem-solving skills.
- Highly professional, hard-working, organized, detail oriented, dependable, trustworthy, and efficient.
- Experience with/knowledge of event management, urban youth, design thinking, and education a plus.
- Driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle preferred.
Estimated Salary: $10-15/hour, part time
