About the Position: The Business Development unit within the Department of Commerce’s Office of Economic Development and Competitiveness is recruiting for a part-time, permanent Research Analyst 1. This is an entry-level professional economic development position requiring strong research, writing, documentation preparation, database management, and event and program coordination skills/experience. This position provides professional support for Business Development’s business recruitment, retention, expansion, and proactive outreach activities which in turn support Commerce’s mission to drive job creation and private investment in Washington State. This position plays an integral role in ensuring the Office of Economic Development and Competitiveness meets its key goals and supports Commerce’s mission by providing high level research and administrative support.
Special Requirements/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with college-level course work in statistics/one year of work experience in statistics, analysis, or research OR equivalent education/experience.
• Proficient in using SalesForce CRM to manage information and develop reports.
• Preferred: Proficient in using a database and database tools to manage and locate information
Estimated Salary: $16.37 – $21.26 Hourly
