Food For Thought is a grassroots non-profit organization that feeds Toledo, thanks to incredible generosity of the entire community.
The Volunteer Coordinator oversees all volunteer-related programming. The Volunteer Coordinator works collaboratively with other Food For Thought staffers to ensure volunteer needs are met. This position will also be responsible for day-to-day office management (answering phones, responding to inquiries, checking messages, entering data) and performing basic bookkeeping functions.
- Mission-oriented, passionate about hunger issues and helping people
- Conflict management skills
- Familiar with technologies and software for tracking, recruitment, outreach, and other communications
- Ability to connect with diverse types of organizations: schools, businesses, faith-based organizations, etc.
This is a flexible full time position – from 30 to 40 hours per week. As need arises, or work demands increase, additional hours will be available. Regular hours of work can be scheduled based on candidate’s availability.
Base Rate: $15/hour ($23,400-$31,200 annually); Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel, paid parking (downtown)
