Writer-Editor Intern (15-20 hrs/wk, Fall) at New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission

Details and Requirements: The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) is seeking a dynamic and creative Writer-Editor Intern to work with NEIWPCC’s Communications Manager on a variety of projects. The intern will write content for NEIWPCC’s website and NEIWPCC’s annual report, which involves interviewing staff members and researching water and wastewater topics. The incumbent will write and edit articles for NEIWPCC’s magazine, Interstate Waters and e-mail newsletter, iWR. Will also support outreach staff in other activities such as social media. The successful candidate will be well-organized and highly motivated, have strong writing and editing skills, and a background in writing in a journalistic style. Knowledge of graphic design or photography or experience with WordPress a plus, but not required. Completion of at least junior year of college with coursework in journalism, communications, or related field. Coursework and interest in environmental issues a strong plus. The intern may work between 15-20 hours per week; the position will begin in September and will run for sixteen (16) weeks.
