About the Organization: The Council is a unique agency, authorized through the Northwest Power Act, to balance our energy and environment needs. Since 1980, the Council has worked to make energy efficiency the region’s second largest resource while protecting fish and wildlife. Public participation is a cornerstone of our mission.
About the Position: The Council has an opening in its Power Planning Division for an assistant to support the Regional Technical Forum (RTF). The RTF was formed in 1999 to provide independent, scientific analysis to support utilities in reliably evaluating energy efficiency opportunities. To this day, the RTF continues to play an integral role in the Northwest’s acquisition of energy efficiency as a resource. The position reports to the Manager of the Regional Technical Forum and also receives guidance from the Director, Power Planning. This position provides support for the RTF Manager by providing scheduling, logistical support, document and communications preparation, note taking, contracting support, and assists in the day-to-day operations of the RTF.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in all MS Office applications, with strong Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills
Estimated Salary: $45,700 – $58,000 + benefits.
Opening salary will be dependent in part on level of experience, within a salary range set for this position in the Council’s Compensation Plan.
