About the Organization: No child should grow up hungry in America. Since 1984, Share Our Strength® has led the fight against hunger and poverty by inspiring and organizing individuals and businesses to share their strengths. Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit, is ending childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need by connecting kids in need with nutritious food, teaching their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals, and through the No Kid Hungry network, made up of private citizens, public officials, nonprofits, business leaders and others providing innovative hunger solutions in their communities. These public-private partnerships work together to identify and eliminate the barriers that may prevent children from accessing existing food and nutrition resources.
About the Position: Through the support of the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, Share Our Strength has created a program to involve college-aged Youth Ambassadors in the fight against childhood hunger by working with one of our No Kid Hungry community partners. See job descriptions at specific sites:

Special Requirements/Qualifications: No Kid Hungry seeks enthusiastic college students to join our program as Youth Ambassadors. Applicants must be a current undergraduate student. The ideal candidate will have:
- A great attitude and willingness to work on all kinds of projects
- Interest in hunger issues
- Commitment to working with diverse communities
- Reliability, responsibility, and a good work ethic
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with social media
- Use of personal laptop and mobile phone preferred
- Reliable access to a vehicle
Estimated Salary: $1,500 for fall semester, completion of 150-200 hours. This works out to $7.50/hour for 200 hours, to $10/hour for 150 hours.
