About the Organization: Together We Rise is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults. Our vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public.
About the Position: TWR is seeking an Event Coordinator Intern for Fall 2018 semester who has an interest in our organization’s mission, excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and has the ability to work effectively in teams but also individually. 2-3 days per week, around 15 hours each week (part-time), start dates flexible, ideally beginning in August, ending in December.
Responsibilities: Assists events team in coordinating national and in-office TWR events; Attend and help coordinate local TWR events. Helps manage the day-to-day needs of the organization; Flexibility in job assignments and responsibilities
**Will be required to attend events that may not fall in a typical workday or during typical work hours
- Must be currently enrolled in a college/university and pursuing Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent verbal and written skills; Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; A go-getter who is willing to go the extra mile
- Must be able to lift 40lbs
Estimated Salary: $11.00 /hour
