About the Organization: WePAC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization systematically reopening Philadelphia public school libraries. WePAC’s mission is to promote childhood literacy by engaging volunteers in Philadelphia public schools through re-opening and staffing libraries and through academic mentoring. In our vision, every Philadelphia student will be empowered with the literacy skills vital to the success of the child and the prosperity of the community.

About the Position: To further this mission WePAC seeks to employ a part-time employee to update our fundraising database, to update volunteer information, to prepare donor acknowledgement letters, answer phones, make copies and to assist with other office tasks as needed. There will also be opportunities to assist with special event planning, social media, and marketing efforts. WePAC is a small, volunteer driven organization. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn about nonprofit management and fundraising. The job site is at 5070 Parkside Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. The hours are flexible but must be during the normal working day. The start date is flexible but should be no later than September.

Special Requirements/Qualifications: Ideal candidates must be comfortable using databases, Excel and Word and mail merge. Background using Salesforce is a plus. Candidates must be able to get along well with others, be diplomatic with all, be a self starter and be detail oriented in order to be sure all work is proper.

Estimated Salary: $10/hour, up to ~15 hours/week.
