About the Organization: The City of Pasadena Housing and Career Services Department is dedicated to providing affordable housing and community development opportunities for low and moderate income persons and employment resources to enhance and strengthen our community.
About the Position: The City of Pasadena is seeking a Housing Assistant with knowledge and experience of rental subsidy and other affordable housing programs, such as Section 8. This position is responsible for determining both initial and continuing eligibility for rental subsidy and other affordable housing programs. There is currently one vacancy in the Housing Department, which may be filled as a result of this selection process. Other vacancies may be filled from the eligible list established as a result of this process.
Special Requirements/Qualifications: Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance would qualify. For example: high school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in rental subsidy, Section 8, or other related affordable public housing programs. Experience in a public agency is preferred. Must have or obtain a Class C California driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Estimated Salary: $51,459.20 – $64,272.00 Annually
