About the Organization: The Fines & Fees Justice Center (FFJC) is a national center for advocacy, policy, research, and collaboration on effective solutions to the unjust and harmful imposition and enforcement of fines and fees in the justice system. FFJC’s mission is to create an equitably funded justice system that treats individuals fairly and ensures public safety. FFJC works with justice system stakeholders and affected communities to end abusive collection practices, eliminate fees in the justice system, and make fines proportional to the offense and the individual.
About the Position: The Fines and Fees Justice Center is hiring a Research and Campaign Associate to (1) identify, collect, and summarize content for FFJC’s online Clearinghouse and (2) assist the New York State Director with research and advocacy.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree OR 2 years of experience with public policy research/analysis and issue advocacy campaigns;
- Passionate about racial and economic justice;
- Experience with criminal justice reform, working with marginalized communities, coalition-building, movements for social change, issue advocacy preferred;
- Spanish a plus

Estimated Salary: $45,000 – $55,000 + benefits
