About the Organization: TDF is the oldest not-for-profit performing arts service organizations in the country. While we are perhaps best known for our TKTS Booth in Times Square, we have been dedicated to bringing the arts to everyone for over fifty years through a variety of programs and initiatives:

Expanding Access – For people who would love to experience the arts, but think it’s not for them, we’re removing barriers – distance, cultural, physical, financial, age, opportunity.
Cultivating Communities – We reinforce the spread of live theatre and dance beyond Broadway in neighborhoods and schools all over the five boroughs. We engage, educate and encourage people to make the performing arts a vital part of their lives; creating not just more audiences, but more diverse ones.
Supporting the Makers – We actively enable the creators, players and storytellers, offering and integrating our extensive research insights.

About the Position: In the past four years, TDF has grown its fundraising department from three to six, and increased contribution revenue by more than 50%. As we continue to work diligently to increase contributed revenue to support and sustain its mission and programs, we are seeing a new Development Assistant to be an integral member of the fundraising team. Position Type: Full Time Permanent.

About the Position: Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development, the Development Assistant will be responsible for supporting the development team in all aspects of the department. The successful candidate will be able to prioritize assignments, work under pressure, and enjoy working on a team positioning itself for growth. Experience in performing arts and knowledge of Tessitura CRM database highly preferred. Some evenings and weekends will be required.

Special Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required)
A passion for the performing arts, education and/or accessibility
Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent proof reader and self-editor
Tessitura experience is a plus

Estimated Salary: Salary is $40k with an ample benefits package
