About the Organization: The Maryland Food Bank is a nonprofit hunger-relief organization, leading the movement to end hunger throughout Maryland. For more than 35 years, the Maryland Food Bank has partnered with communities across the state to distribute food to individuals and families in need becoming the leading anti-hunger organization in the state.
About the Position: An integral member of the Donor Services Team, the Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for gift entry, donor record upkeep, and donor acknowledgements. The Coordinator will also answer donor inquiries via phone and email in a timely manner or redirect questions to other team members. The Coordinator will collaborate with Gift Officers and the finance department to correctly attribute donations and complete gift paperwork as needed as well as run reports and data pulls for the Donor Database Manager.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year institution required. Degree in computer science, data management, or nonprofit administration preferred.
Experience: At least one year prior experience in a customer service role or development department is required. The candidate must be an avid learner with an interest in nonprofit data management.
Qualifications and Skills: This employee should be an enthusiastic team member with an ability to think innovatively about upgrades to data management and processes. S/he should be highly organized and attentive to details. S/he should be able to set priorities and complete assignments independently. The coordinator should be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. S/he should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be courteous, friendly and professional with donor interactions.
Estimated Salary: $31,200 to $34,500 Annually
