About the Position: The Intern, Global Partnerships will report into and work closely with the Senior Managers and Associate of Global Partnerships to deliver first class client services to the partners of the organization. This role is a temporary contract role and runs from July to October 2018.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
- Background in external or client-facing roles preferred
- Familiarity with global development issues preferred
- Personal commitment to ending extreme poverty by 2030
- Interest in international development and economic empowerment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating external facing documents
- Knowledge of Google Drive and Microsoft Office
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with variety of individuals and organizations
- Can do attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and work hard to tight deadlines
- Basic understanding of event management and all aspects of the planning process
- Friendly and approachable
- Ability to show initiative
- Professional and able to interact successfully with a wide range of individuals
- Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality and non-disclosure of information
- Ability to quickly digest and analyze complex information and recommend solutions
- Ability to manage a multitude of tasks in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
- Friendly, flexible, confident and assertive personality with a sense of humor
- Creative flare and not afraid to pitch out-of-the-box ideas
