About the Organization: Revolution English engages immigrants through our innovate English language program that delivers daily English lessons through Facebook Messenger. Our goal is to help immigrants practice English every day so that they learn English faster, get good jobs and have access to important information (such as healthcare, citizenship, workers rights), and participate in all aspects of life in the U.S.
About the Position: You will be assisting in the continuous improvement of our mobile-English learning program on Facebook messenger and other platforms, including providing daily technical and administrative support, content development, data collection, and customer support. In other words, you are both a collaborative team-player, and a self starter who can learn new emerging technologies and get into the nitty-gritty of working in a data-driven media organization that seeks to improve the lives of immigrants.
Special Requirements/Qualifications: We’re looking for a mission-driven person, who is passionate about using technology to improve the lives of immigrants in the United States.
• Native Spanish speaker
• Bachelor’s Degree *OR* 2 years professional work experience
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting immigrants in the United States
• Skilled in using a variety of technology tools, including but not limited to: Chatbots, Chatfuel, WordPress, Playbuzz, Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Groups, Facebook Messenger, Textit, Mailchimp, and Surveymonkey.
• Understands and embraces rapid experimentation methodologies (e.g. Lean Startup)
We prefer someone who has: Experience or knowledge in supporting immigrants in English acquisition; Work history in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, tech, digital or marketing industries.
Estimated Salary: $40,000 to $45,000
