Details and Requirements:
Partners for Peace (formerly known as Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance) the domestic violence resource center serving Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties, invites applications for the Shelter Advocate position.
The successful candidates will:
- be able to work effectively with a diverse group of staff and a changing resident population
- have experience with advocacy
- be able to demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.
Prior experience working with people affected by abuse and with consensus decision-making is a plus. All staff participate in crisis intervention, advocacy and community response work.
This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $30,867 per year plus generous benefits.
