Details and Requirements: The Water Business Line of Arcadis is seeking a candidate to join our world-class firm in Washington, DC. This paid internship will be for FALL 2018 with the potential to be extended. The intern will support our Urban and Coastal Resiliency Planning Group and will primarily focus on hazard mitigation and urban resiliency planning. Working with Professional Engineers, the Intern will perform assignments designed to utilize and develop professional skills and knowledge significant in the field. We need someone with excellent research and writing skills, as well as good technical skills. If your favorite classes were plan implementation, multiple alternatives evaluation, growth management, and other technical or policy based courses, this internship is probably right up your alley!
Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Urban Planning, Engineering or closely related field; Solid working knowledge of Excel and GIS.
Preferred Qualifications: Pursuing Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Climate Change Mitigation, Engineering or another closely related field; Prior internship experience
