Details and Requirements: We are a nonpartisan institute chartered by Congress to tackle the world’s toughest problems. Working in conflict zones around the world, our staff advise and support the military, government officials and community leaders – to promote knowledge and practices that prevent, mitigate and resolve violent conflict. The Research Assistant will assist with a wide range of research projects for the Asia Center. Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, South Asia studies, or related field required. USIP’s Research Assistant program is administered through the Consortium of Universities in the Washington Metropolitan area. Any full-time university student in the Washington area is eligible for these openings. Pay: Between $10-14 per hour; Work Schedule: 15-20 hours per week. Flexible hours; Expected Project Dates: July 2018 – May 2019, with possibility of extension
