Details and Requirements: Are you passionate about mental health education and advocacy? At NAMI Seattle, our vision is a world where all those impacted by mental health conditions know they are not alone, and are empowered to live their most fulfilling life. We are the local Seattle affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, working to meet unmet mental health needs within our community through support, referral, education, and outreach. NAMI Seattle is seeking an engaging and personable Volunteer & Resource Coordinator to serve as the point of contact for volunteers as they grow in their role as mental health champions. Our peer-led, volunteer-run programs are the heart of our organization, and we are excited to find the right person to help us build this brand-new position. In support of our mission to help fill the gaps in the mental health system in Seattle, the Coordinator will also oversee our Listening Line and general mental health information resources. Our current organizational priorities are deepening relationships and putting quality first, and we need a Volunteer & Resource Coordinator who can operate with those two priorities informing their day-to-day work. Preferred Qualifications: Fluency or proficiency in a non-English language; Minimum one year of experience (paid or volunteer) in a nonprofit setting; Experience working with a diverse community; Existing graphic design skills, or a willingness to develop these skills in order to create engaging and attractive materials and resources. This is a full time, exempt, salary position, averaging 37 hours per week, including paid sick and vacation, paid holidays, and health benefits. Additionally, we are committed to the professional growth of all of our team members and offer a modest budget for professional development each year. Salary: $35,000/year
