Details and Requirements: This position will support Krzysztof Wodiczko, Professor in Residence of Art, Design, and the Public Domain in his activities related to the research, design, technical implementation and documentation of multi-media projects. His research includes: ‘Design & Social Equity’ and ‘Public Art & Exhibition Design’. Context from wikipedia: “Krzysztof Wodiczko is a Polish artist renowned for his large-scale slide and video projections on architectural facades and monuments. War, conflict, trauma, memory, and communication in the public sphere are some of the major themes of an oeuvre that spans four decades. His practice, known as Interrogative Design, combines art and technology as a critical design practice in order to highlight marginal social communities and add legitimacy to cultural issues that are often given little design attention.” QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in fine arts, industrial design, or related field; 2+ years of digital visualizations and video production, editing, and post production; Proven experience making physical models and working prototypes; Proficiency with 3d modeling/ visualization programs; Proficiency with projection mapping software and projection hardware; Interest in and curiosity about contemporary art; Flexibility regarding scheduled hours. Traveling may be required. Part-time, $25/hour
