Details and Requirements: The Hepatitis Education Project (HEP) is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) non-profit agency committed to providing support, education, advocacy, and direct services for people affected by hepatitis and to helping raise hepatitis awareness. HEP is currently seeking a full-time staff member to work with our Correctional Health Program. This position may help manage and deliver our prison- and jail-based programming and/or assist in planning and coordinating professional development activities for hepatitis C professionals nationwide. The person filling this role will have an opportunity to make a significant impact on the viral hepatitis epidemic as well as for people experiencing incarceration and other marginalized populations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Background or lived experience that demonstrates understanding of incarceration in the United States and related social issues; Superior communication skills including teaching, facilitation, networking, and public speaking; Strong interest in health disparities and passion for social change; Experience in program coordination or another relevant field; Knowledge of hepatitis trends, harm reduction, and experience working with people affected by viral hepatitis.
