About the Organization: Pass With Flying Colors prepares Chicago’s underserved first-generation students for college and career success. Since 2010, our programs have helped students access and succeed in college at dramatically higher rates than their peers. Today, 95% of our students are on-track to graduate.
About the Position: The Development and Communications Assistant supports resource development operations to achieve the goals of the annual development strategy. The Assistant supports the day-to-day responsibilities of special event fundraising, the donor database, and communications. This position reports to the Executive Director. Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to provide reliable transportation to venues and meetings throughout City of Chicago and suburbs; Ability to lift and carry event supplies and materials weighing up to 25 pounds; Ability to attend occasional weekend and evening meetings and events. This is a part-time position typically working 20 hours per week. There is potential to become full-time in the future for the right candidate.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required or in-progress
- 1-3 years of fundraising and/or communications experience preferred
- Strong computer skills, ability to learn a donor management database tool; experience with Giftworks a plus
- A commitment to Pass With Flying Colors’ mission, particularly the value of a college degree for first-generation students
Estimated Salary: $14 – $18/hour commensurate with experience, between 10-20 hours/week.
