About the Organization: Safe Voices currently operates the only shelter and support services for victims of domestic violence in Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford counties. Since 1977, our goals of providing emergency and support services to victims of domestic violence, promoting ways to foster healthy relationships, educating the community about the seriousness and prevalence of this crime, and working toward legislative change so that communities no longer tolerate this abuse—have guided us in developing a strong safety net for victims of domestic abuse seeking support, assistance, and a life free from the threat of further violence.

About the Position: Safe Voices’ Development Program is seeking a creative and energetic professional for the role of part-time Development Assistant. This person will work closely with the Director of Development & Engagement to support all aspects of Safe Voices’ annual giving, special events, municipal campaign, and corporate sponsorship programs.

Special Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum Associate’s degree required (may be in process). Past development experience not required.
• Must be comfortable interacting with the public, possess strong writing skills, and be comfortable with database programs and other relevant technologies.
• Successful candidates will understand the value of philanthropy in the work to end domestic violence.
