About the Position: VCP seeks a qualified Business Administrator at its Center City Philadelphia office. This individual must thrive in a modern, fast-paced office environment supporting the back-end business operations to support several educational programs. Ability to manage special projects along with day-to-day tasks is fundamental to this position. Specific Responsibilities will include:
- Bookkeeping Functions: Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable; Maintain an accurate QuickBooks file; Act as primary point of contact for outside controller; Assist in preparation of financial statements and reports, and assist with audits as necessary; Maintain accurate and thorough physical files to ensure audit compliance; Oversee and approve monthly expenditures, with responsibility to help create budgets and meet budget expectations…[see link for all]
- Business Management Functions: Oversee facilities planning, maintenance, custodial operations, and office organization; Provide stellar customer service to our clients and be informed on all company policy and practices (including data privacy); Maintain all business, insurance and financial records, both electrically and in hard copy form as appropriate; Coordinate staff training, on-going continuing education and team-building activities…
- Program Support Functions: Coordinate MOUs and invoicing with outside partners; Assist program teams and managers as needed; Support executive staff, including grant preparation, meeting preparation, and scheduling…
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR 5+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping practices and processes, with bookkeeping experience in a professional setting; At least 2 years of QuickBooks experience in a professional setting
- Mathematical and accounting acuity
- Intermediate to advanced skill in using Microsoft Excel; General computer knowledge, experience with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint preferred; Intermediate to advanced skill in using Adobe programs; Ability to liaise with technical support, experience with Voiceover IP systems preferred
- Exceptional organization skills;
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills; Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- Ability to solve problems independently, and take initiative to begin and complete projects; Dependable, respectful and consistently works to uphold company ethics and standards
Estimated Salary: $35,000 – $38,000 + benefits
