About the Organization: The Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA/AIA) is committed to professional development for its members, advocacy on behalf of great design and, together with its sister organization, the BSA Foundation, sharing an appreciation for the built environment with the public at large. Established in 1867, the BSA today consists of nearly 4,500 members and produces content for a diverse array of programs and publications, including ArchitectureBoston Expo and ArchitectureBoston magazine. About the Position: The Boston Society of Architects/AIA and the BSA Foundation seek a marketing and communications intern to assist its communications team with a diverse range of PR and marketing initiatives. The intern will report to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager and will manage a number of independent tasks as well as work in collaboration with the communications and marketing team. She or he will support the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, the Web Content Manager, the Electronic Communications Manager, as well as other staff members and leaders. Regular mentoring conversations will be scheduled between the intern and the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager.

Special Requirements/Qualifications: The intern should have fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point, plus have basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically; Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign). The person is also expected to be an all-around team player with an interest in learning how small, nimble communications departments function within dynamic, communications-driven nonprofit organizations.

Estimated Salary: $12 hourly
