About the Organization: Women’s Resources of Monroe County is a nonprofit, community based agency in Monroe County, Pennsylvania that provides free and confidential comprehensive support services to victims of domestic and/or sexual violence, their families and significant others; prevention education and risk reduction programs in schools and the community, and training to the professionals who work with the victims of these crimes. They continue to advocate for social change in society’s attitude and treatment toward women. Women’s Resources provides services to all victims in our community, regardless of gender, age, race, sexual orientation, or religion.

About the Position: Seeking a part-time Financial Assistant to assist with bookkeeping and donor database maintenance as well as other related tasks. S/he will assist the Manager of Finance with financial records and reports, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, annual audit, grant writing and monitoring. S/he will assist the Development Manager with maintaining the agency’s donor database including correcting and updating constituent records, merging records, creating and executing various reports, and gift processing and reconciliation. S/he will assist with event fundraiser logistics. The Financial Assistant will also assist the Manager of Finance and Development Manager with other tasks as needed.

Special Requirements/Qualifications: Must have experience with QuickBooks, Raisers Edge (or other donor database software) and Microsoft Office. Strong Excel skills, accrual bookkeeping and non-profit accounting background are preferred. S/he will possess outstanding organizational and time management skills, and be detail oriented, with strict adherence to confidentiality. Associates Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience, life experience, and/or appropriate educational background is respected.

Estimated Salary: $15.00 – $16.00/hour. Up to 30 hrs/wk
