Details and Requirements: The Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Park Service is accepting applications for seven (7) long-term contractual positions as Maryland Conservation Corps (MCC) Crew Leaders. The successful applicants will be responsible for working with and coordinating the crew of four to six Conservation Corps members. The Crew Leader provides advice, guidance and direction pertaining to work responsibilities, education and job training. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in the field of park operations, recreation, education, business administration, forestry, social sciences or a natural resources related field. Candidates may substitute experience in park management, recreation or a natural resources related field on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Strong preference will be given to applicants that possess: Experience in a national, state, county or local park; Experience in an AmeriCorps program; Experience with service or campus organizations; Graduate of the Work2Live WELL program. Long-Term Contractual, September 2018 – September 2019 (requires working weekends and holidays, both day and evening shifts). Seven (7) vacancies; full-time. $15.52/hour ($32,364.00/year).

LOCATIONS: Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary (Prince George’s County), Susquehanna State Park (Harford County), Tuckahoe State Park (Caroline County), Deep Creek Lake State Park (Garrett County), Assateague State Park (Worcester County), Patapsco Valley State Park (Howard/Baltimore Counties), Gunpowder Falls State Park (Baltimore County)
