Details and Requirements: The Outreach Paralegal will perform extensive outreach to current and prospective clients and community organizations; conduct field investigations and advocacy; provide case management and support; conduct research; organize documents and information; and assist with community mobilization when appropriate. Substantial overnight travel is required. Qualifications: College degree or relevant work experience; Experience with advocacy on behalf of immigrants is preferred; Ability to work effectively as part of a team to develop new campaigns and legal initiatives with direction from several attorneys; Strong communication and writing skills, public speaking skills and ability to conduct presentations; Ability to conduct data analysis; Understanding and sensitivity to issues client populations face; commitment to a client-oriented approach to advocacy and ability to work on delicate issues in a compassionate and sensitive manner; Commitment and passion for social justice; Ability to work with diverse groups of partners; and Fluent in Spanish and English. Consideration given to candidates fluent in languages, other than Spanish, commonly spoken in the Southeastern United States, e.g., Vietnamese and Arabic.
