Details and Requirements: Diocesan Migrant & Refugee Services, Inc. (DMRS) has an immediate opening for a full-time Data Entry Caseworker within its Legal Orientation Program (LOP). DMRS is the largest full service provider of free and low cost legal services to immigrants in West Texas and New Mexico. The LOP provides know-your-rights presentations, individual orientations, pro se assistance and referral to pro bono attorneys for possible representation. While the caseworker will assist with these tasks as needed, the data entry caseworker will primarily focus on the entry and reporting of all data as required by our funder. Ensuring data is entered in a timely manner and entered correctly is vital to continued funding for the LOP, so the Data Entry Caseworker should be detail oriented and able to handle tedious tasks for extended periods. Comfort providing group presentations in a detention center; Experience in immigration law preferred; Fluency in English and Spanish, fluency in other languages in addition to English and Spanish preferred; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Demonstrated commitment to public interest law, particularly to immigration issues. $11.86 per hour + benefits.
