Connecting the dots between science, adversity and student performance, Turnaround equips educators to stabilize learning environments, reduce stress, increase engagement in learning and accelerate academic achievement. With Turnaround’s assistance, schools learn how to help their students develop the social, emotional and cognitive skills and mindsets they need to succeed in school and life. Turnaround seeks a Leadership and Special Projects Intern to support its Executive Office, helping to enable its CEO to accomplish her priorities and supporting strategic operations, internal communications and project management efforts across the organization. This position will allow candidates interested in pursuing a career in education, non-profit work, executive support, or operations a chance to gain significant and wide-ranging experience in a fast-paced environment with close support, mentoring and an attention paid towards professional development. The successful candidate will be characterized by initiative, problem-solving ability, flexibility, responsiveness, and personal accountability. S/he will combine strong organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail. S/he will be a confident and facile writer, comfortable writing for a range of audiences. S/he will anticipate and proactively address the needs and concerns of team members. A strong collaborator, s/he will be ready to help others on the smallest task or take initiative to solve a problem. $15/hr
