Details and Requirements: Good Jobs Now (GJN), a grassroots membership based organization that fights for political, economic and social justice for low-income Detroiters of color. Good Jobs Now is building our organizing team and is seeking a Digital Communications Coordinator to play a critical role in building political power for low and moderate-income Detroiters of color. The Digital Communications Coordinator will be responsible for producing a high level of quality work as they help to augment GJN’s campaigns with economic justice messaging and content. Through a mixture of traditional communication and modern digital organizing that’ll emphasize text and social media follow-ups, the Digital Communications Coordinator will advance our issue and electoral strategy for 2018 and beyond. Ideal candidates should be able to: Be effective working with a culturally, religiously, and economically diverse group of partners, members, and staff; Be an effective communicator who is comfortable working with the public, talking; to strangers, and asking people to take action; Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; Be motivated to make change. Applicants should have some basic familiarity with social justice issues and a passion for social justice work and the city of Detroit. Full-time, salary, benefits.
