Details and Requirements: This position will provide support for the People of Color Sustainability Collective (PoCSC), an initiative housed at the American Indian Resource Center at UC Santa Cruz. Competencies: Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or equivalent experience/training; Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques; Experience in creating, implementing, and publicizing diverse, successful, mostly low-budget large-and small-scale events; Strong cultural competency skills to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds; Experience working with diverse student populations; Knowledge/understanding of diversity issues in higher education. ~ Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish; Experience in website creation or content management; Knowledge of campus departments, student clubs and organizations, and related policies; Experience using FilemakerPro, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, WCMS web design, Constant Contact, and various software; Experience working with Latina/o Families and diverse communities.
