Details and Requirements: The Center for International and Global Engagement at the American Council on Education is offering a summer internship to assist with the U.S.-Japan COIL Initiative. The selected intern will expand knowledge of U.S. higher education (governance structures, faculty development, and curriculum) and emerging practices in international education; deepen understanding of the history and current opportunities related to U.S.-Japan higher education collaboration; learn about virtual exchange as a tool for education and diplomacy; and develop professional skills related to international relations and higher education. Preferred experience: Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese; General understanding of U.S. and Japanese higher education and professional cultures; Demonstrated ability to communicate with diplomacy and clarityThis is a paid internship for 20 hours per week from mid-June until mid-September. $13.25 per hour
