Details and Requirements: Not-for-profit social justice PR firm. Our mission is to use PR as a tool to diversify the media and politics. We partner with frontline communities, political campaigns, and impactful social justice groups to break through and win on a range of progressive issues. Our team reflects the movement we are trying to build and support: we are a small but mighty group of women of color, queer folks, and people with disabilities. Salary: $15/hr, or approximately $2,400 per month. This is a 3-mo contract position based in Washington, DC, that is 50% media relations and 50% administrative. This contract position could turn into a full-time position at the end of the internship. We’d like you to have: A demonstrated commitment to social justice; A talent for writing and copy editing; Volunteer experience in social justice, a political campaign, or Congress preferred; Prior experience in media relations, communications, or PR a plus; Spanish language skills a huge plus; PR firm experience is a plus; Political campaign or Congressional experience is a plus.
