Details and Requirements: Stairway to STEM offers individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families the resources to make the transition from High School to College and ultimately pursue a career in a STEM field. We are seeking freelance content creators with ASD experience or expertise to produce blogs and other types of content for the Stairway to STEM Web site. You must be a motivated, mission driven collaborator who likes to work as a team, but is also leader who will move the mission forward.
We expect that CCs will create 24-30 pieces of content per year at $150 per piece of content. Each piece of content should be manageable, say a 600-800 word blog or a brief (one to three minutes) video, an info-graphic, interview, etc. We hope that each piece of content will take between 3-6 hours to create so that the pay rate will be a fair and attractive compensation.
For EBMs, the rate is hourly, based on experience, education, etc., and their job is to work with specific CCs to help develop and guide an idea through the content creation process, and the range is $35-$50 per hour. EMBs are subject matter experts who help ensure content’s accuracy as well as its capacity for engaging an audience, etc.
If someone is only interested in a one-time contribution, we are unable to offer compensation. However, if someone wants to try a guest post and then decides to apply, we can certainly compensate for the original piece of content if they are offered and accept a position. Additionally, if someone is really interested but simply can’t commit to that many pieces of content, please have them email me. We may be able to work something out for a lesser commitment, but I can’t say for sure at the moment.
