Event Assistant (part-time, temp July-Dec) at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture

Details and Requirements: Nonprofit organization on a mission to create a healthy and sustainable food system. We are working to develop a culture of eating based on what farms need to grow to build healthy soil and a resilient ecosystem. In our quest to transform the way America eats and farms, we convene changemakers, educate food citizens, train farmers, and develop agroecological farming practices.

Required: Bachelor’s degree; Interest in event planning for a non-profit with emphasis on fundraising, development, and member services; Ability to work long hours on your feet during events. This is a part-time, temporary (July 2 – December 21) position of approximately 24 hours per week, in-office, with occasional weekend and evening hours as needed. Compensation is on an hourly basis at $12-14 per hour.
