Details and Requirements: Covenant House offers a broad range of essential services to help youth move from poverty to opportunity and from homelessness to hope. These services include emergency shelter, transitional and supported housing, food, clothing, legal aid, medical care, educational services, job training and placement services, childcare and parenting support programs, recreational, artistic, and psychological social services. This position provides direct, individualized, supportive care to youth who attend day service programming and/or reside in the residential program while establishing good rapport with staff and partnering agencies. Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience working with youth; The ability to maintain order and exercise appropriate judgment in crisis situations, with effective interpersonal skills; Must be able to work with youth that have poor social skills, suffer from mental illness, and have substance abuse problems; Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
