Details and Requirements: We seek to support communities by aligning a climate justice agenda with a digital justice framework where technology enhances preparedness, equitable economic development, and resilience. The Program Associate will split her/his time between assisting with project management tasks and supporting with curriculum development/implementation. This position will require some travel among five project sites across New York City. It is a full-time 40-hour a week salaried position, requiring occasional work on evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will have an interest in resilience, climate adaptation, community organizing, local economic development, social justice, community technology, and/or urban planning and design. We are seeking candidates with strong organizational and project management skills; Comfort with public speaking; Interest and/or experience in the following programmatic areas of interest: Digital equity, access, and engagement, Telecommunications planning, Community technology, Communication Strategies, Technology training and knowledge transfer, Community and local economic development, Participatory urban planning and design.
