Details and Requirements: We have around 30 open positions available with our corps! Positions range from supporting organizations working to alleviate poverty (including populations such as seniors, people with disabilities, & refugees/asylees) to providing environmental education for children in schools. Come live and serve in the beautiful Tennessee Valley, less than an hour away from Great Smoky Mountain National Park! AmeriCorps service year August 2018- August 2019. Cost of Living in Knoxville is quite affordable on the Living Stipend (Christine says: “I have been comfortable on this stipend in Knoxville for the past 3 years”), and our program provides assistance with finding affordable housing among other things. We are generally well known for providing excellent member support and experience during a service year, including professional development and help getting to your next step.
