Details and Requirements: Will work directly with patients in the Boston area and western suburbs. Duties include home visiting, accompanying patients to medical appointments, and assisting with connecting patients to social/support services. The position presents an excellent opportunity for an astute, creative, patient-focused individual to help in the development of the program and to care for complex patients in a community setting. For recent college graduates interested in a career in a mental health or medical field, it is an excellent opportunity to gain wide-ranging experience while making significant differences in patients’ lives. The position includes individualized supervision and structured training opportunities to foster professional growth and exposure to a variety of settings, professions, and policy-level discussions in the healthcare field, depending on the professional interest of the individual.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, experience during college or post-graduate in a medical or mental health setting, comfort in coordinating the support and management of patients with complex psychiatric conditions; A valid driver’s license, access to a working vehicle, and ability to drive to a variety of locations within metro Boston on a daily basis; Physical abilities: able to climb stairs and visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication. Hours: 40 hours/week, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
