Details and Requirements: The Social Justice Residency Intern works within the Department of Education and Public Engagement at the New Museum to support all aspects of the annual summer Social Justice exhibition and program, including youth and public programming, documentation, and archiving. This person will work to assist participatory aspects of a socially engaged exhibition and residency. Useful computer skills specific to this position include: Mac Office applications and Final Cut Pro (or similar non-linear video editing software). Interns should be interested in learning about public programming and engagement, art and social justice. This position pays $13/hr, 28 hours a week for 9 weeks. In addition, you will receive a $500 stipend for completing the Arts Intern component of the program. Must be enrolled as a full time undergraduate student as of the Fall 2018 semester, as a rising Junior or Senior; Attend college in New York City, or live in New York City; Have an Expected Family Contribution of less than $5000.
